Summer Fun Program 2014

The New Bedford Boys & Girls Club will once again host its annual Summer Fun program for boys & girls ages 7 to 13 years.  This program is aimed at providing physical, recreational and educational activities in a safe, wholesome environment.
 
The Boys & Girls Club will have transportation available through our Outreach Program.  Transportation will be provided for our members along a selected route.  Parents who need transportation for their child should inquire upon enrollment. We will attempt to accommodate transportation needs to the best of our ability.
 
The Free Lunch program will be available to all our club members through the New Bedford Recreation Department.   There will be no free lunch the first week!  We also have a concession stand where your child will be able to purchase food at an affordable price.  Menus of what will be available will be at the front desk and also sent home with your child.
 
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Early drop-off at 8:00am or late pick-up at 5:00pm will be provided for a fee of $5.00 per day ($10.00) for both.  Please notify staff member at the time of registration.  In fairness to staff members please pick up your child promptly at 4:00 p.m. Any child not picked up by 4:00 p.m. will be subject to the $5.00 late pick-up fee.

Cost
All Summer Fun participants must be Club members. (Club membership is $25/year-good until December 31, 2014)
  
Summer Fun fee
One week session: $50 per child/$40 for additional child in family
 
SAVE $$$ by attending in 2-week session blocks!  Two week sessions: $80 per child/$70 for additional children in same family.
 
We accept cash, checks and credit cards.  Weekly fees are charged at a full week's rate regardless of the number of days a member attends.  All payments must be current or may result in termination of enrollment regardless of attendance.
 
There is a $15.00 fee for all returned checks in addition to any fees accrued.  The Club reserves the right to demand payment in the form of cash if personal checks are dishonored for payments. NO REFUNDS!

Field Trips
In addition to Club-based programs members will participate i activities outside the Club.
These may include:

Myles Standish State Park
The cost of the field trips will vary depending on where we are going.  Some field trips will be offered at no cost to participants.
  • Field trips are subject to change due to weather, transportation etc.
  • Field trip flyers and permission slips will be available at the front desk.
  • Each field trip will have a sign up deadline that will be strictly adhered to.  The charge of the field trip must be paid at the time the permission slip is due.
  • Club rules apply whether we are in the building or on a field trip.
  • Most field trips will require walking with some involving transportation.
